Week of Events
To promote the Week of Events held during the Singapore FinTech Festival week, the organisers of the event was looking for a digital wayfinding to show the locations, dates and times of each event around Singapore.
I was excited when the brief was to create an illustrated map. To include landmarks, with the reference of the real Singapore map got me pumped up to kickstart the illustration.
Plotting the map
There were many events happening across the week, in different parts of Singapore and at different timings. Apart from wanting the map to look creatively exciting and interesting, it also had to be functional, accurate and it should convey a particular sense of identity.

Conceptualising
Once we were clear on the events and initiatives, I got to the drawing board to plot the landmarks across the Singapore map. Still containing the element of playfulness in the composition, I ensured the positions of the landmarks were as accurate as possible, such as the north, south, east or west of Singapore.
A few adjustments were made, before we finalised on the sketch.
The digital map was a valuable tool for promoting the festival on social media. It allowed the festival organizers to share a comprehensive overview of the festival's offerings in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand format. The digital map was also very shareable, which helped to reach a wider audience and generate excitement for the festival!
