SG Youth Action Plan Participatory
Budgeting
The Youth Action Challenge (YAC) is a key thrust of the SG Youth Action Plan (SG YAP), empowering youths to champion ground-up initiatives in partnership with government, businesses and community organisations.
We were tasked to create an explainer video about their Participatory Budgeting exercise, which aims to educate people on how they can allocate their funds to teams they think will make the greatest impact in the community.
Balancing Playfulness and Professionalism
While crafting the narrative, I had to make sure the illustrations exudes a fun and energetic feel to represent the youths; yet at the same time, as the video ultimately addresses the serious topic of budgeting and managing finances, it was equally important to maintain a professional tone in the overall visual language.
Luckily, the YAP brand colours were vibrant and bold, which I found genuinely inspiring and motivating to work with!
